This sign about thefts was interesting!

Hand-made walking sticks and jewelry are brought across the Rio Grande by Mexicans and left for tourists to buy. Of course, the National Park says your purchases can be confiscated. In addition to the walking sticks, they make scorpions out of copper wire. That's the Rio Grande in the pictures, Mexico on the other side.
