We toured the "Mr. Charlie" Offshore Oil Rig in Morgan City, Louisiana. Now a museum, it was the first transportable oil rig, constructed in 1954.
Photo of the Galley aboard "Mr. Charlie." The rig is also a training facility for offshore workers. In addition to learning many tasks, they are required to stay exclusively on board for two weeks to ensure they can handle the isolation.
While we were touring, these trainees were practicing their skills.
