Whooeeiwwwweeeee glad you were able to change it and not have any damage.
After this trip, we are going to be tire-shopping too and replace all of ours.

Tires are a scary proposition. Glad no one was hurt when it separated. Just had to replace mine several weeks ago and they were 5 years old too.
