An Observation from the Michigan UP

It seems that just about everyone in the UP has a “hunting camp.” These camps range from primitive to modern and comfortable and can be located next to their primary residence, but usually are 10-40 miles away.
Here’s a cute one located on 40 acres deep in the woods. It belongs to our friend Ken's sister-in-law and, sadly, hasn’t seen much use lately.

Besides for hunting, these unique camps are used for family get-togethers, parties, or any kind of celebration. Being in the “north woods” causes these hardy people to never miss a chance for family, food, and fun gatherings. Great folks!
