On The Road Again

Hey, y'all . . . I can't seem to get these photos in the order I wanted to . . . so I will just tell what they are of:

Our arrival to Wakonda State Park in LaGrange, MO.  What an entrance we made!!!  Got stuck trying to get in our site!!!

The Park Ranger brought out their tractor . . . still it was a no-go!

Then they got more chain and pulled us up onto the road.  It was a comedy of errors--narrow road, wrong angle, post in the way, plus a raised roadbed and lots of sand.

Took this while we were crossing the Illinois River at Meredosia, Illinois.

Thought this was an "Americana" photo . . . this is on the approach to the Illinois River at Meredosia.

This is the sign at Wendell's birthplace town.

The descent down into the Illinois River bottom.  You really do descend down to the bottom, which spans about 30-40 miles, then the hills begin again  . . .

I think they said that this is the 6th time this year that they have replaced the electiric receptacles!  They've had so many floods this year!
