My brother Ron and sister Judy and I drove our Dad to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, on Monday, August 16 and were there until Friday the 20th at 6 p.m.

This building is so beautiful .. . look at the different kinds of marble . . . quarried from various sources around the world and finished in Italy.

In Gonda Bldg. -- a beautiful building itself. The entire Mayo complex is awesome and the staff is so nice. These are the experts--every kind of specialist! Mayo is the largest interconnected health facility in the world!
They put Dad through nine sometimes grueling tests and we had three consultations with doctors. Still no definite diagnosis but they have some stronger indications. They are leaning towards his problem being a blockage of some blood vessels leading to the stomach, plus they know he has vascular disease and an irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath caused by pleural effusion. He is to return this coming week for another test and three more consultations to discuss the results of his last test, which was an Upper Endoscopy.
He certainly doesn't have all the other conditions that a lot of us have--no diabetes, no high cholesterol, no high blood pressure! He has been a real trooper through all this . . . he wants so bad to find the cause for his pain, inability to eat much, and weight loss
