October 15-20 we took a quick trip to Tennessee and Iowa, leaving our trailer parked at Betty's. Let me tell you, that is way farther north than we're used to being at this time of year! On Sunday morning when we left Iowa it was only 28 degrees!!
The purpose of this trip was to attend the Meyer Family Annual Chili Supper, a gathering of my Dad's family, in Keokuk, Iowa. Ross wanted to go with us, so we spent our first night at his house in Millington, then went on to Iowa the next day.
Ron & Mary's son Carl and Aidyn, 2 years old (he wouldn't stop for a photo!)
My youngest brother Kenny and wife Dorothy.
My brother Ron and wife Mary, gracious hosts of the Chili Supper.
Ron & Mary's dog Pepper--he goes with her to teach school every day!
My oldest brother Bob and wife Betty.
Ron, Dad, me.
My sister Judy, Ron, Dad, me.
Ross learned to play ping pong!
(We missed those who couldn't attend this year: My brother Bill and wife Pat and Beth and Justin, Ron and Mary's daughter and husband, plus several cousins. Hope to see them next time.)

On Monday, October 19, we were back in Tennessee and got to see our great-granddaughter Bayleigh Marie in person for the first time!!! This was Michelle's first day back to work and she brought Bayleigh for Sheila and I to enjoy!
Just like Michelle predicted, Bayleigh made this cute little face when she got her Milecon drops!
