This was taken on W. Beach Blvd this morning, right next to where Paige and Bean's wedding will be on Saturday . . . workers "pick up" (sift? sorta like with kitty litter??) the tarballs/oil globs and put them in plastic bags, then 4-wheelers/mules come along and the bags are loaded, then transported to the large dumpsters located along the beach highway.
People are still enjoying the beach and water . . . the beach is CLEAN with just a 1-2 foot wide swath (about 3-4' from the water) containing some small tarballs--NOT solid oil, just small spots. We feel it is manageable!
