This is our parking spot for the next two weeks at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL. While it is a really nice spot, I didn't realize that our site on the Canal was considered to be "lakefront," and therefore subject to $10 more per night! Plus, this State Park recently instituted a $3 per night additional charge on Friday and Saturday nights--even if you are staying for two weeks!!!! They add $3 per night for Friday/Saturday nights!!! I view that as PRICE GOUGING, but y'all can form your own opinions. Our total for two weeks was $496.95 after our senior discount of 15%! WE will think twice before doing this again and young families are going to be priced out of this nice park .
Ross has enjoyed fishing but is still waiting to catch a fish.
